There are two kinds of infinity.
While the numbers on both ends of the scale are never-ending, what I call ‘great infinity’, the decimal configurations between any two numbers – between zero and one, for example – are also innumerable. Thus, within great infinity, there are countless ‘small infinities’. I have found this concept to be equally true for artistic practices: the artist strives to share or translate their dream, vision, sound, performance, or sound using skills and resources that are limited in numerous ways, sometimes coming close to perfection without ever arriving at unattainable sublimity.
