In September the Polish city of Kielce hosted the world’s third largest arm fair, the International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO). Elbit Systems, Rafael, Israel Airspace Industries, and Smart Shooter were among 10 Israeli weapon companies exhibiting at the fair.
Local journalist Roman Kurkiewicz attended the fair along with the Polish-Palestinian Initiative for Justice (KAKTUS), gathering evidence for a legal complaint with the Kielce District Prosecutor’s Office. The complaint alleged that representatives of the Israeli companies ‘praised and aided and abetted international crimes, including genocide, by promoting weapons used against civilians in Gaza as “battle-tested” or “combat proven”.’
