It was 12.30am when drone strikes hit The Conscience. Bobbing in international waters off Malta, the Gaza-bound aid ship was due to sail on 3 May to deliver aid through Israel’s deadly blockade.
Catalan activist Masmi, waiting to board in Malta with a crew of global volunteers, didn’t hear news of the attack until 4am.
