Md Tanveer Hassan Rohan turns a man crossing a river – the Baral in Bangladesh during the dry winter season when mossy outcrops are more visible – into a typically lyrical composition bursting with colour. It’s just such strikingly poised images that have seen him garner over 400 international photography awards in his seven years as a professional photographer. He says that his essential aim is ‘to capture moments of life and give them significance by making them static in time’. He was born and brought up in Dhaka and is currently resident in Los Angeles.
