Middle-income countries such as Namibia are grappling with a double epidemic: undernutrition on the one hand and obesity on the other.

At one extreme, the poorest section of the population – in a country with one of the most marked income gaps between rich and poor in the world – is suffering the impacts of severe malnutrition, such as the physical stunting of children.
