A beautiful new interactive documentary has been released celebrating the lives of Aboriginal Elders in Australia. Ringbalin – River Stories uses short films, audio journeys, photo essays and maps to take the viewer on a virtual tour, via the website or app, of the country’s Murray and Darling Rivers. The app also uses GPS to guide the viewer and to alert them to the exact locations where the stories are told.
‘There are so many people that travel thousands of miles through the outback, but they pass through this country without seeing it, says Elder and participant Herb Wharton. ‘There is history written on the ground.’
