A court in Vietnam has sentenced a journalist to six years in prison and two on probation for posting videos on Facebook and YouTube.
Nguyen Lan Thang, a prominent blogger who participated in environmental and anti-China protests and voiced support for jailed activists, was found guilty in April of spreading information ‘for the purpose of opposing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam’.
