Britain, which holds the G8’s presidency for 2013, has chosen the rural location of Lough Erne, County Fermanagh, for the summit.
Among the named priorities for British Prime Minister David Cameron are transparency, accountability and tax evasion. He has also called a ‘hunger summit’ on 8 June, when campaigners from the British aid agencies’ IF campaign have planned a mass rally in Hyde Park. They are calling on the G8 to tackle land grabs, aid and tax avoidance.
