Osmani Simanca from Cuba/Brazil, with 'Evolution of the Seas'.
Osmani Simanca was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, 1960. He graduated in fine arts in the San Alejandro Academy and in the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana and began his career as a cartoonist at the Cuban magazine Dedeté in 1975. In 1995 he moved to Brazil. He is currently the staff cartoonist for A Tarde, the leading newspaper in northern Brazil, but his work has appeared all over the world, in publications including the Los Angeles Times, the Toronto Star and Denmark's Jyllands-Posten.
