The Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), held every two years, unites millions across the continent in a celebration of African men’s football. It’s more than a tournament: it’s a showcase of pride, culture, heated rivalries and collective joy.
Morocco hosted the latest edition, which ran from 21 December to 18 January. I got the opportunity to experience matches in three vibrant cities – Tangier, Fes and Rabat – and I can confirm that the tournament largely lived up to its rich legacy, sparking national pride throughout Africa.
