The billionaire believed he could bypass the judiciary and impose his will. Ultimately, he had to bow to Brazilian law to avoid losing money and to resume operations in the country.
Musk, who had vowed to defy the court’s rulings, changed his mind after Starlink, another of his companies, had its bank accounts in Brazil frozen to pay X’s fines.
