The youth-led social movement Y’en a marre (‘We’ve had enough’) has re-surfaced to engage Senegalese citizens ahead of upcoming presidential elections.

Started in January 2011 by a group of friends who were fed up with political inaction, Y’en a marre acted as a watchdog in 2012 polls, and is credited with inspiring 300,000 youth to register to vote.
