In a closed-door meeting on immigration in January, when discussion turned to Haiti, El Salvador and African nations, US President Donald Trump expressed frustration: ‘Why,’ he asked, ‘are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?’
Trump suggested instead that the US admit more immigrants from Norway.
