As the reproductive rights of women in the US are increasingly threatened, the state of Oregon has defied the political landscape and expanded access to abortion, birth control and post-natal medical care for women.
The passing of ‘the nation’s most progressive reproductive health policy’ has given state-funded access to reproductive healthcare services to residents previously barred by regulations related to citizenship status and income. The Reproductive Health Equity Act (House Bill 3391) also bans discrimination against trans or LGBT+ people.
