The spike in racist and xenophobic attacks in the wake of Brexit was confirmed by a National Police Chiefs’ Council report in September, which revealed that hate crimes have increased by 58 per cent. But there is a silver lining to this cloud: anti-racist networks are joining hands to present a united front.
